Stapleton have got off to a flying start this Festival season with those competing at Mid-Somerset 2011 coming away with 3 Gold medals, 1 Silver medal, 4 Bronze medals and 2 fourth places. Sarah Locke was also awarded the Scribes Cup for the best ballet performance for 12 years and over and Imogen Tucker was asked to perform her National solo at Mid-Somerset's annual general meeting in October, one of only three performers invited.

In the Gloucester festival the solo dancers achieved two Gold, two Silver and three Bronze medals and two fourth places.  In addition Sarah Locke was awarded the Improvisation Trophy.

At Longwell Green the solo dancers were awarded three Gold, two Silver and two Bronze medals and three fourth places.  Our trio achieved a Silver medal and the duets a Gold medal and a fourth place.  Imogen Tucker was awarded a trophy for the highest mark in the 10yr and under category for her Greek dance.  The groups also danced brilliantly, the Classical group were rewarded with a Gold medal with a distinction and the Classical Group Rose Bowl.  The Cabaret groups achieved a Silver and Bronze.  Well done to everyone who took part!

The Junior Irish Group will be entering their Irish piece for the first time at Kingswood in February half term.

Congratulations to Ella Pratten who reached the Finals of All England in London this Summer.  Ella was awarded 4th place with Honours in the National category for her Irish piece.  We are extremely proud of her achievement and wish her and Miss Kerri equal success with her new dance.
